RUOK

Ageing is not without challenges –
health, relocation, loss, isolation or difficulties completing tasks that were once
simple – any of these can lead to someone becoming disconnected from their
community and support networks.

But older generations have a breadth of life experience they can draw on to
support those around them and a simple chat can mean everything to a friend, family
member or neighbour who might be struggling.

The R U OK? ‘Your natter matters’ campaign resources include a new conversation
guide for senior Australians to empower them with the tools and confidence they
need to reach out to their peers and give the gift of a meaningful conversation.
We all sometimes struggle with life’s ups and downs but by making time to support
someone who is doing it tough, you could change or even save their life.
