Care & Aging Well Expo

Published Sun 12 Feb 2023

The Care and Ageing Well Expo was about giving families and their older relatives confidence and convenience in living the best life. Previously held in Perth, this event launched in Melbourne with great success.

With so many people wandering around and visiting the 90+ exhibitors, it created a really good atmosphere.

Our stand was a great success, and our volunteers did an amazing job. We had eight (8) different clubs volunteering their time and knowledge over the weekend. A big thank you goes out to Sandringham, Port Phillip, Inner Melbourne, Knox, Yarraville, Croydon and Surf Coast Life Activities Clubs for representing our Clubs. A special thanks goes to Robert Peters from Moonee Valley for being our public relations spokesperson on Saturday.

Life Activities Clubs received a lot of positive feedback and interest. People understood the importance of social connection for engaging the mind and body and that our clubs represent more than just engaging in activities and making new friends. They represent health, happiness and growth through learning.

There was clear and detailed information available about every club so no matter where someone lived, they were confident about the availability of activities in their community. Everyone felt welcomed and we enjoyed our experience at this inaugural expo.

Life’s much better with friends.
