Why Join a Life Activities Club?

Life Activities Clubs are welcoming and operate in a friendly non-pressuring way. A Life Activities Club member has the opportunity to:

· Make new friends and acquaintances in the relaxed sociable environment of the club.

· Receive the support of the club while experiencing life-changing events such as retirement, redundancy, bereavement or moving into a new area, and while developing an active and enjoyable lifestyle.

· Participate in the wide range of healthy and stimulating activities offered by the club. Activities are available to suit most tastes and provide opportunities for members to keep physically, mentally and socially active while experiencing congenial companionship. Club activities are available at a range of times to suit most situations, the majority of clubs offering both day and evening and also weekend activities.

· Participate in the organisation and the running of the club by volunteering to serve in such capacities as office bearer, committee member, or activity organiser. The club is run by the members and many people find their involvement in this work worthwhile and rewarding.

· Access the range of benefits available through LACVI to Life Activities Club members. From time to time these benefits are advised to clubs directly.

 

 

To Apply to Join a Life Activities Club

Contact the club you would like to join and ask for a Membership Application Form to be sent to you. You may also like to request details of club fees and a copy of the club’s current newsletter.

 

Many club allow potential members to attend up to say three club events as a visitor, should they wish to do so before deciding whether or not to join up.

Membership Fees

Each Life Activities club sets its own membership subscription, which is typically between $20 and $30 per person per annum. Some clubs also set an entrance/joining fee, which is typically $5 to $10  per  person.
